Trackmasters was founded in the UK by Matthew Cohen in 1990. Matthew had been in the trade since the mid-eighties working as a Sub–contractor surveying and line marking for various UK companies.

Initially, the company was involved with all kinds of court marking and even line striping on school playgrounds, synthetic surfacing of acrylic tennis courts, as well as industrial flooring.

As time went by, the company started to become more and more involved with Surveying and Marking of all weathered 400m athletics tracks.

Trackmasters was starting to be awarded contracts further and further field, taking on projects in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia and the Americas.

In 1998, as the company was almost exclusively carrying out track marking contracts outside of the UK, it relocated to Thailand.

In 1999 the International Association of Athletics Federations (I.A.A.F.) introduced the Line Marking Certification Scheme, a new scheme to ensure a consistent standard for all athletics facilities worldwide. Trackmasters was proud to survey and line mark the very first track to be awarded with this new certificate. It was Hunter Region Athletic Facility, a brand new 9-lane track in New South Wales, Australia.

The move to Thailand turned out to be a good one with its excellent geographical location, it is possible to get to almost all major cities anywhere in the world within one day. Even South and Central America are easily accessible.
